About
I’m Erik Chilian. I Help Leaders Succeed.
Leadership is by far, the most important and most misunderstood element in virtually every organization. Many cannot become leaders because some critcal aspects of leadership are not embedded in everyone equally. Others will not become leaders because they do not desire to learn and develop the skills and execute what it takes to lead. The leadership landscape is littered with processes and systems that promise that everyone can lead as long as they follow the formula. Others treat leadership as if it were an elusive philosophy that cannot be tangibly attained. I help leaders determine how to approach their roles and their organizations in the most effective ways. People who can influence others, but cannot sytematically solve problems and prioritize solutions can be great in sales arenas or in the service sector, but they cannot be great leaders. People who can solve problems but cannot consistently influence others can be great engineers or surgeons but cannot be great leaders. Leadership necessarily sits in the crossroads between the art of influence and the science of problem solving. Every leader is stronger in one than the other, but they can get to the crossroad along either path.
